Spottlesly clean hostel that can be compared closer to a hotel with dorm rooms. Good sized common area that's great for meeting and mingling with fellow travelers. Good location I'd recommend spending a little extra to stay here if you prefer a hostel over a hotel or private apartment.
It's a rather cosmopolitan hostel with really friendly and helpful staff. Really appreciated their help! The wifi connection was rather spotty in the rooms at times, and we would have appreciated it if more amenities such as handsoap were provided. Nonetheless, a really good place to stay in, would definitely recommend!
Best Hostel in Prague. Great rates, location, and AWESOME staff. Jan checked us in and gave us the complete briefing on where to go. He took his time and answered all our questions. The bar has GREAT beer and a perfect place to meet fellow travelers. Coming back soon!!!
I stayed in Sophie's Hostel for four nights and enjoyed all my time spent there. Service was great - at the reception/bar they were all friendly and helpful, and the rest of the staff kept the hostel very clean. I enjoyed the atmosphere - simple, but inviting. While not far, it's about a 15-20 minute walk to Old Town, though even very late at night I always felt safe by myself. If I travel to Prague again, I'm positive I will be staying here.
Definitely so far our nicest hotel on our trip! We stayed in one of the apartments and it's one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in. The size was huge and had great amenities including a kitchen and sleeping space for 5 people. Staff was amazing and not only told us good places to eat, how to get around with metro, but also helped us practice the language and taught us basic etiquette. Above and beyond amazing. Good location next to metro stop and easy access to rest of town. Did get a little loud at night at times and elevator was a little scary but all the other qualities made up for these little things. Would definitely stay again!
Incredible facilities, never stayed or heard of anything quite like it! Each dorm is like an apartment and has its own kitchen and bathroom. However the down side of this was that it was very, very difficult to socialise which is shame if you want to go out/on bar crawls etc. Overall, great if you want a treat from your typical dirty, cramped hostel but no good if you want to make friends and socialise.
This is honestly one of the best hostels I've ever come across! The rooms are huge with lovely bathrooms and a private kitchen! Feels more like an apartment than a hostel! Everyone has their own single bed. No bunks are in the rooms so they feel big and airy. The bathroom was really clean with a lovely shower and heated floors. Great location and price, would definitely return and recommend!!
What a beautiful hostel! Honestly had the best stay for 2 days here. Travelled with a group of 5 girls while we interrailed Europe and Sophie's Hostel couldn't have been sweeter. Rooms were meticulously clean which is always something that is important to us and they offered a super all-you-can-eat breakfast on the Sunday for something like €7 which we all thought was amazing value. Fresh bacon, eggs and pancakes were served to order along with a massive selection of fresh breads and brioche, granola and muesli - a hearty breakfast for the budding explorer! Really lovely place. The ladies on the desk were lovely, their English was spot on and they helped us plan so much of our trip for the next couple of days without any bother or hassle. Would recommend highly.
Liked: Very clean.. the showers and the rest rooms felt like those of good hotels. The beds were very comfortable and the luggage storage system in the hostel was great. Secondly, it was very cheap to stay here.
Disliked: The location was little far (2 km) from the main city center and the old town.
Liked: The private apartment we, a group of five, stayed in for three nights in February 2016 was really nicely equipped and absolutely clean. The room was big, quiet and had its own kitchen, a big bathroom with rain shower and the beds were quite cosy. The reception staff was very accomodating and even left with some guests for a night out once or twice after their shift. The common room downstairs is nice and and you will probably always meet nice fellow hostellers to talk to.
Disliked: The breakfast offer was not that great. Therefore we rather had our breakfast outside the hostel and we can very much recommend the Café Louvre, a Viennese style cafe with great value for money.
